Are All DJs The Same?
The short answer.... No not all DJs are the same. Although quite a few cookie cutter DJs are out there. Generally cookie cutter shows come from large DJ companies with 10 - 20 DJs on their staff. While generally speaking they are cheaper you sacrifice quality and experience.
The first thing you have to figure out is what you are looking for out of a DJ. In some cases a cookie cutter DJ is ok, but most of the time even cookie cutter DJ shows will fall short of expectations. Here are some questions to ask yourself before ever picking up the phone:
- Do you want the DJ to be involved or just play music?
Do you want a DJ that offers lighting?
How important is the dancing portion of your event?
How many guests do you expect, and how big is the space for you party?
